Prosperity Henna Anointing Oil
Henna, called כופר or copher in Hebrew and camphire in some versions of the Bible, is mentioned in Song of Songs 1:14 and 4:13.
Henna has a sweet herbal scent. It is a lovely plant producing clusters of small white and yellow odoriferous flowers which is found in Ein Gedi on the shore of the Dead Sea.
From the leaves is made an auburn dye with which Sephardi women have beautiful designs drawn on their hands in preparation of their wedding.
