Mezuzah Parchment
Hand-inscribed parchment bearing the words of Deuteronomy 6.
Mezuzah parchments are 100% kosher and inscribed by a qualified scribe (a "sofer stam" in Hebrew). The verses are written in black indelible ink with a special quill pen on animal hide.
Available in two sizes*:
Small - 2.5 x 2.5 Inches / 6.4 x 6.4 cm
Large - 4 x 4 inches Inches / 10.2 x 10.2 cm
XLarge - 4.8 x 4.8 inches Inches / 12 x 12 cm
* It is recommended to consider the size of the mezuzah when ordering the parchment. The Mezuzah is a symbol that can be seen on the right-hand doorpost in every Jewish household. It acknowledges G-d's sovereignty over the home. Within is a hand-inscribed parchment bearing the words of Deuteronomy 6: "Hear O Israel: The Lord our G-d is one Lord...And thou shalt write them (the words of G-d) upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates."
Having a mezuzah on the doorpost, touching it and then touching the lips, reminds us to keep the word of G-d on our lips as we enter and leave our home.
