The centerpiece of Michal Kirat`s jewelry is made of unique and colorful shards of glass which date back to the period of the Great Roman Empire (1st century BCE). The glass is unearthed in Israeli archeological sites and has been termed, Roman Glass.
In her Galilean workshop, Michal carefully cleans and sorts the Roman Glass shards as not all pieces can be made into Jewelry. Each shard passing her quality control is carefully cut and placed in meticulously designed work-of-art Jewelry. Every piece is one-of-a-kind as no two glass shards are the same.
