Arbel
Mount Arbel
Fly above Mount Arbel located in the Lower Galilee near Tiberias, Israel. From the peak, at 181 meters above sea level (380 meters above the surrounding area), one has a spectacular view of most of the Galilee, into the Golan Heights and a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee.
Mt. Arbel is one of the most prominent physical landmarks around the Sea of Galilee. On Mount Arbel Harod the Great slaughtered many Jews who opposed him by forcing them from the caves and off the cliff to their destruction below.
the roar of battle will rise against your people,
so that all your fortresses will be devastated—
as Shalman devastated Beth Arbel on the day of battle,
when mothers were dashed to the ground with their children.
Hosea 10:14
