Beit Saida
Beit Saida
Bethsaida was an ancient city located in the northern shores of the Galilee. The city was mentioned many times in historical records and was the capital city of the Kingdom of Gershur. Archaeological excavations reveal that in the Hellenistic and Roman periods, 2000 years ago, the inhabitants of Bethsaida were great wine producers. They grew their own vineyards, harvested and produced their wine and stored it in wine cellar, which were discovered at the site.
