Perfumes and Colognes from the Holy Land
The anointing of Jesus by a specific woman is one of the few stories that are recorded in all four Gospels, namely, the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. All accounts in the four Gospels narrated how the woman brought an Alabaster jar with an expensive perfume and pour it out to Jesus. “And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” (John 12:3)
The Lord promised the woman who brought an Alabaster jar to anoint Him that she will be remembered wherever the Gospel is preached. And indeed, it happened. All four Gospels recorded her deed.
Jesus was pleased of what the woman did as He saw it as her way of preparing Jesus for His burial. However, you don’t have to expect your upcoming death before you experience the fragrance of lovely perfumes from Israel.
Israel Men’s Cologne
The Bible has told us of the stories of mighty men of God that did amazing things for their people and for God’s glory. There is David who was called a “man after God’s own heart.” King Solomon who was recognized as the wisest person who ever lived. And even the mighty Lion of Judah who is prophesied to rule over Israel for eternity.
These men from the Bible became the inspiration for the exotic perfumes for men which are created from plants that can only be found in the Holy Land. The masculine scents of these colognes are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression and the connection that an individual has with the rich history of Israel.
Israeli Women’s Perfume
There are different places in the Bible where God prescribed the scents that He wants to be smelled in His sanctuary. There are different ingredients that were used and these same exact ingredients were used as an inspiration in formulating the various scents for women.
For instance, there is the Light of Jerusalem perfume which is based on the formula of the scented oil recorded in Exodus 30. Other perfumes are based on biblical scents found in flowers and plants in the descriptions mentioned in the Bible such as the Rose of Sharon and the Lily in the Valley, both found in the book of Songs of Solomon.
Israeli Herbal Soaps
Israel is one of the top producers of olive oils from the countries in the Mediterranean basin. The olive oil, combined with other Israeli herbs and plants, can also be used in creating scented herbal soaps. There are different varieties of herbal soaps with scents of jasmine, lemongrass, vanilla, pomegranate and lavender.
These herbal soaps can help you to have a softer, smoother and more radiant skin while leaving a lasting fragrance that will increase your sense of connection with Israel.
