Katzrin

Take flight over the Katzrin Archaeological Village and the surrounding area in the Golan Heights. The ancient Jewish farming village of Katzrin was built around a spring, which is featured in the video. The video also contains views of the ancient synagogue and a waterfall. In the early 1970's, after the Six Day War, this site was excavated and systematically studied only to discover a well-preserved synagogue-dating from the early 3rd century AD. In 1983-1990 many houses, dating from the Byzantine and Mamluk periods were found.
