Red Wine from the Golan Heights
Mount Hermon Red is made using traditional Bordeaux grape varieties which includes Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The wine’s satisfying body and complexity, along with its immediate accessibility, make it a favorite everyday wine. Grapes are one of the Seven Species of Israel.
The Golan Heights Winery is located in Katzrin in the Golan Heights. It was established in 1984 and is considered Israel's first world-class winery.
